We seamlessly blend the roles of a tranquil villa and an inviting yoga retreat center. Whether you’re joining us for one of our curated retreats or considering renting our venue, please be aware that each occasion may have slightly different terms and conditions. We strongly advise reading through our terms and conditions thoroughly before finalizing your booking.
General Information
Our rates include exclusive rental of the entire villa, rental of an individual room with shared use of the common areas and the pool, or exclusive hire of the venue for retreats and groups.
Accepted payment on-site: cash or card.
House Rules
- Quiet hours after 10 pm apply to both indoor and outdoor areas.
- No parties are permitted on the premises.
- No external events are permitted on the premises. Retreats, workshops and group programmes held under a confirmed venue rental are excepted.
- Pets are prohibited.
- Please refrain from smoking on the premises. Smoking will incur a fee of LKR 25,000.
- The property may not be occupied by more people than confirmed on your booking.
Damage & Breakages
Guests are responsible for any damage or breakage caused during their stay, beyond fair wear and tear. Any such costs will be invoiced after departure. For group and venue bookings, the retreat leader is responsible for the conduct of their participants.
Valuables
Flowground does not take any responsibility for the safety of valuables on the premises. A management safety deposit box is available for highly valuable items.
Liability
Flowground’s liability is limited to willful acts and gross negligence by its employees or agents. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Guests take part in classes, excursions and workshops, and use the pool and facilities, at their own risk.
Transport
We help organize airport transfers with a private driver. Provide your flight details to confirm the transfer. Transfers are operated by independent local providers.
Travel & Health Insurance
Guests are required to hold travel insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, medical treatment and repatriation, including illness-related cancellation. Flowground is not responsible for losses that would ordinarily be covered by such insurance.
Force Majeure
Events preventing your travel. Flowground is not responsible for circumstances that prevent you from reaching us, including flight cancellations, border or entry restrictions, illness, or events in your own country or region. Our cancellation policy applies as normal in these cases, and we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.
Events preventing us from hosting. If circumstances in Sri Lanka beyond our control — such as natural disasters, political unrest, or damage to the property — prevent us from hosting your booking, we will make every reasonable effort to offer alternative dates. If rescheduling is not possible, we will refund the amounts paid less any costs already committed on your behalf. Travel costs, including flights, are not refundable.
Venue Rental
Confirming your booking
- Completing an online reservation does NOT confirm your booking.
- A 30% deposit is required to confirm the venue rental.
- An invoice for the total booking value will be sent within 24 hours of making an online reservation.
- The remaining balance is due 12 weeks before arrival. Failure to make payment by the due date will result in cancellation of the booking, and the deposit will be forfeited.
Check-In and Check-out
- Retreats usually run from Sunday to Saturday.
- Check-In: from 3.00 pm
- Check-Out: 10.00 am
Cancellation Policy
- The venue rental deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. When a retreat is cancelled we are very rarely able to fill the dates again — retreat leaders plan and promote their retreats many months in advance, so a week released at short notice almost always stays empty. The deposit reflects the loss of those dates and the preparation already carried out for your retreat.
- 50% of the remaining balance (the booking value excluding the deposit) is refundable if you cancel more than 60 days before arrival.
- No refund is given for cancellations made 60 days or fewer before arrival. Within two months of arrival there is no realistic prospect of filling the dates with another retreat, and flowground has already committed staff, kitchen and supplier arrangements to your booking.
- Refunds processed within 30 days from the cancellation date.
- Refunds processed within 30 days from the cancellation date.
If flowground cancels
- In the unlikely event that flowground has to cancel a confirmed venue rental, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including the deposit. Where possible we will also offer alternative dates.
- flowground is not responsible for any other costs you or your guests may have incurred, such as flights, insurance or marketing. We strongly recommend that retreat leaders take out appropriate insurance.
- Cancellations caused by events outside our control are governed by the Force Majeure section above.
Villa Rental
Confirming your booking

- A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
- An invoice for the total booking value will be sent within 24 hours of making an online reservation.
- The remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival. Failure to make payment by the due date will result in cancellation of the booking, and the deposit will be forfeited.
Check-In and Check-out
- Check-In: from 3.00 pm
- Check-Out: 10.00 am
Cancellation Policy

- 50% of the remaining balance (the booking value excluding the deposit) is refundable if you cancel more than 60 days before arrival.
- No refund is given for cancellations made 60 days or fewer before arrival, and the full booking value remains payable. Within two months of arrival we are rarely able to re-let the dates, and flowground has already committed staff and supplier arrangements to your booking.
- Subject to availability, reservations may be modified free of charge up until 60 days prior to your original check-in date. No refunds will be issued if your new reservation value is less than the original.
- No refund for early departure.
- Refunds processed within 30 days from the cancellation date.
Legal Disclaimer
- The terms in force at the time your booking is confirmed are the terms that apply to that booking.
- We may update these terms from time to time. Changes do not affect bookings already confirmed.
- Photographs, descriptions, floor plans and indicative rates on our website are provided in good faith to give an impression of the property. They do not form part of any contract, and rates are subject to change until your booking is confirmed.
- If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- These terms are written in English. Where a translation is provided, the English version prevails.
- These terms are governed by the law of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing in this clause removes any protection available to you under mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
